Did you watch the SuperBowl? What a great game. John and James were both born in Philadelphia so we had a family party. We thought the game when very well. I'm sad my Lion's didn't get to go, but if they couldn't the Eagles were the best second choice. New Orleans does have a great stadium. It will be interesting to see how the summer league starting in a couple of months does.
I stopped in Lowes to pick up yard waste bags. I was amazed how much garden stock they have. Winter is officially over and time to plant. I picked up some thyme. Not quite ready for the vegetable garden. Oh, if you have time, the House of Lamps and Shades on Beach Blvd in JAX is having a HUGE clearance sale. Mom picked up new pendent lights for her kitchen. John and I found a sofa table lamp for the office at a very good price. Worth a stop in.
This is going to be one of the first years we are not going on our date week to Orlando for Valentines Day week. Just too much going on. We are scheduled for April which seems a very long way off. We are going to try the Shades of Green for the first time. We have shopped there and used the Spa (fabulous!). If you have stayed there, would love to hear what you liked and what didn't work for you. My concern is transportation.
If you are looking for some FUN THINGS GOING ON:

Looking forward to Springtime…? We are!
St. Marys Little Theatre is planning its Spring comedy…DELIVER US FROM MAMA!
In this hilarious Southern romp across the United States, Mama needs to get home in a hurry amid squabbling siblings, lost luggage, a dysfunctional family wedding, a police chase and a trip to night court in time for the birth of her first grandchild! Will she make it in time? Will she survive her crazy family? Join us and find out!
Our Spring comedy will be directed by St. Marys’ own Ken Johnson, who holds a BFA in Acting from John Houseman’s Conservatory of Acting Program at the University of Southern California and has 25 years professional experience. Ken started out in community theatre and he’s loved it ever since! Ken has directed numerous shows over the years professionally…his last directing gig was Quartet at the New Phoenix Theatre in Fort Myers, and he’s so excited to be making his directing debut for St. Marys Little Theatre with the comedy DELIVER US FROM MAMA!
Auditions will be held Monday, February 10th from 6-9pm. Auditioners unable to come may submit a video audition with theatre experience to KENart41@aol.com by Feb. 10, although we highly encourage in-person auditions.
Auditions will consist of a cold read from the script, with other auditioners (it’s totally fun, we promise)!
Anyone interested in making an audience laugh is invited to audition! This comedy calls for adults of all ages, races, sizes, creeds and experience levels willing to have a good time, learn a ton, and share in the magic of community theatre!
Actors must commit to six show dates from April 25-May 4, and up to four rehearsals a week. Our first script read-through will be Monday, March 3 at 6pm with first rehearsal on Thursday March 13 at 6pm.
In return, our actors (and stage crew) get an amazing opportunity to make audiences roll in the aisles with laughter while learning, making lifelong friendships, and becoming part of community theatre at its finest!
You in? Let us know in the comments and make plans now to be here.
Questions? Those are good too! Comment below and we’ll try our best!
