Well that was an interesting storm last night. More than some but way less than it could have been. There are a couple of lights out on Osborne Rd near my work and a whole lot of branches and pine straw everywhere. The waste management people are going to have their hands full for a bit. My James drove down to Punta Gordo to ride out the storm with my mother. At first she wanted to come up here. Then everything sounded great and James didn't need to be there. Last night about 1 he texted pictures of the water up to the bottom of her driveway. Not too bad all-in-all. She's at about 9 ft mean flood elevation. He'll be able to help her clean up from the storm and then head back home tomorrow when the roads are clearer. I'm here at work if you need me. I've been out sick the past week. John and I both came down with a nasty head cold during Disney. We came home two days early. I'm all better and back at work.
No significant damage at home except I'm glad we picked up extra yard waste bags last trip to Lowes. We have a lot of raking up to do.
I have attached are article sent to me by our board, Camden Charlton Association of Realtors (formerly Camden Charlton County Board of Realtors). It's rather interesting about a change in traffic cameras around local schools. I thought it might be of interest.
If you are looking for something to do beside raking up pnie straw, here are some FUN THINGS GOING ON:

Camden County Schools, in cooperation with GDOT and KPD, is committed to ensuring the safety of all our students, and we are pleased to inform you of a new initiative to enhance traffic safety around our schools.
New traffic cameras have been installed at the following locations:
David L. Rainer Elementary School
Matilda Harris Elementary School
Camden Middle School
Wildcat Drive at Camden County High School
These cameras are now operational and are currently issuing warnings to drivers. Please be advised that starting today, Wednesday, September 25th, traffic citations will be issued to violators during school hours. This measure aims to encourage safe driving practices and protect our children as they travel to and from school.
We urge all drivers to adhere to speed limits and traffic regulations, especially in school zones. Your cooperation is invaluable in our collective effort to create a safe environment for our students.
Thank you for your attention to this important matter. Drive safely and help us protect our children.
Best regards,
Camden County Schools
