FUN THINGS GOING ON - Oktoberfest 2024

I hope you are enjoying this lovely weather.  It is so rate to have low humidity and a soft breeze at the same time.  We are using this fabulous weather to get caught up on some long neglected yard projects.  The recent storms seem to have blown some very odd weeds into the yard which we are diligently ripping out.  I'm also fighting a sinus infection which is not so fun.  Is what it is.  That goodness for my Navage.  At least it helps me breath so I can sleep at night.  Ever onward.

Today is World Stuttering Awareness Day.  Not one of the higher profile days.  As many of you know, my husband John has a head injury from service.  One of the side effects is that he sometimes stutters.  This is caused by his throat spasming and cutting of his air flow.  It is rather random so can come at inconvenient times.  He has, on several occasions, been accused of having too many drinks when he stutters.  Stuttering can be caused by a large number of different reasons (mental, emotional, physical).  It is estimated that 1% of people world wide stutter.    Just some food for thought.

Halloween is on its way with many fun activities for all ages this month.  We have the double blessing this time of year of it also being Oktoberfest season. Here are some
