FUN THINGS GOING ON - Early Voting Starting

Enough already.  There should be some kind of rule about how many storms you can have per month.  All in all we got very lucky.  Mom did not get flooded out and we got all our yard waste (finally) picked up on Saturday.  Best of all, we have sunny, dry weather for the next week.  Hopefully, my lawn can finally dry out.  It's been a long wet year.  Time to reset, help the many neighbors and friends who need a hand recovering from all this mess and move on.  We had a christening at church this past Sunday.  Little Vincent Leonardo was joined into the Church.  It's these moments of hope and faith that keep me moving forward.  Father Gerard was so excited he forgot to give his homily.

Dates: Saturday, October 19th - Monday, October 21st
Itinerary:
19th (Saturday) - We’ll meet at Stephen C. Foster State Park, load our canoes, and head out! We’ll head “up” the Swamp, 9 miles to Floyd’s Island, our first night’s stop. Who wants s’mores?
20th (Sunday) - After a hearty breakfast, we’ll load the canoes and head back the way we came, but instead of going into the state park, we’ll pass it to go to our second island camp- Mixons Hammock. Today’s paddle will be 11 miles.
21st (Monday) - Rise and shine! Time to head to the Narrows - the passage to the Suwannee River Sill. We’ll paddle just 3 miles, and then we’ll shuttle back to the state park and say our goodbyes, after 3 amazing days in the Okefenokee Swamp!
Public tour pricing: $450.00 per person, plus tax.
